Undergraduate Scholarships

S & T Undergraduate Scholarships

In accordance with Republic Act No. 7687, or the “Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994,” capable and deserving students whose families’ socioeconomic situation is below particular cut-off values for certain indicators are given scholarships. The study of basic sciences, engineering, applied sciences, and the instruction of mathematics and science must be prioritized among other disciplines of study for those who qualify.

The S&T Undergraduate Scholarships Program seeks to encourage young Filipinos to pursue rewarding careers in science and technology, ensuring a steady and adequate supply of qualified S&T professionals who can fuel the country’s advancement. Students who exhibit an extraordinary grasp of science and mathematics are awarded the DOST-SEI Merit Scholarship Program, formerly known as the NSDB or NSTA Scholarship under RA No. 2067.

Junior Level Science Scholarships

The goal of Republic Act No. 10612 is to improve science and technology education in the country by accelerating the development of graduates in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) Program has two goals: provide scholarships to deserving students in their third year of college who are pursuing degree programs in science and technology; and ensure a consistent and sufficient pool of qualified S&T professionals who can contribute to the advancement of the nation.
