Unlike other DSWD field offices that have online registration and QR code options, Davao’s DSWD procedures are different. You have to go to the DSWD Field Office 11 and submit your documents in a Dropbox.
Step 1: Walk in at the DSWD Field Office 11 or in the nearest DSWD provincial satellite office. Bring 2 photocopies of the required documents mentioned above.
Step 2: Drop your requirements in the designated dropbox. In a separate sheet, include the following:
- List of all members of the family
- Source of Income
- Birthdays and Age of All members of the family
- Active Cellphone Number
Step 3: Wait for further instructions from the DSWD office via text message on your schedule of assessment.
Step 4: Interview and assessment.
The applicant will go through an interview assessment process conducted by the social workers to make sure that the applicant is qualified to avail of the cash assistance. Make sure to bring your valid IDs and copies of your requirements, original or certified true copies.
Note: The schedule of the interview/assessment will depend on the number of applicants who submitted their applications in dropbox.
Step 5: Releasing of Assistance
After the assessment and once qualified, you will be able to claim the cash aid.
There is no guarantee that all those who will apply will be given the cash aid, because you will have to undergo an interview/assessment first.
Note: As of the moment, the online registration process is currently closed. So you have to Follow the FB Page of DSWD Region for updates on when it will be reopened or when they will inform you of other instructions.
So as you might notice, there is no online procedure for now. But it is good that you stay updated on the latest postings from the Davao DSWD Field Office 11 page so if there are changes, you will be the first to know.
No Scholarship Project from DSWD
DSWD does not organize any scholarship scheme. The AICS or Education Assistance program is the only sort of financial assistance they provide. If you come across a post on social media or other websites advertising DSWD scholarships, be wary because it may be a scam.
This AICS cash assistance is normally financial aid and it is given to students in crisis only once every school year.
