Filipino citizens based in the region of Chongqing, who want to submit notarized documents, particularly the Affidavit of Support & Guarantee (ASG), which is usually intended to be used in the Philippines before their departure, can get notarial services from the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing.

OFWs living in Chongqing can submit their ASG applications to the Philippine Consulate General, which is located at Unit 2202-2203, 22nd Floor, Chongqing World Financial Center No. 188 Minzu Road, Jiefangbei, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, China. Requirements

For ASG requirements, give two sets of the following:

  • Applicant’s appearance
  • Completed but unsigned Affidavit of Support & Guarantee (ASG) form
  • Note: The affiant can change the template according to the current situation of the person inviting.
  • Applicant’s original passport and a photocopy of the data and visa pages in the passport
  • Applicant’s valid government ID
  • Notarial fee
    • RMB 190.00 – processed in three (3) to five (5) working days
    • RMB 76.00 (additional fee) – processed for one (1) day

The Consulate may ask for further supporting documents in the event it is necessary.

  • Photocopy of a marriage certificate, birth certificate, or other document showing a relationship.
  • Photocopy of any record of your income, such as pay slips, employment contracts, employment certificates, and bank statements

How to Apply for ASG at the PH Consulate Office in Chongqing

Here’s how to schedule an appointment by email and apply for Affidavit of Support & Guarantee (ASG):

Step 1: Email chongqingpcg@gmail.com or chongqing.pcg@dfa.gov.ph. Provide your full name, desired time and date, contact details, as well as your purpose (Affidavit of Support & Guarantee).

Step 2: Wait for the confirmation of the booking.

Step 3: Screenshot the email confirmation.

Step 4: Gather all the required documents. Don’t forget to bring two sets of the original and photocopied documents.

Step 5: Show up at the scheduled appointment time and date at the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing.

Step 6: Submit the ASG form to the notarial counter together with the other documents.

Step 7: Hold off till the PCG personnel calls your name or number.

Important Reminders

For a smooth transaction, remember the following reminders.

  • If you provide documents that are confusing, incorrect, or incomplete, your application will be rejected.
  • Legal translations to English are required for all documents.
  • Sponsorship of some visa categories is prohibited, including HSWs (Household Service Workers).
  • Affidavit of Support & Guarantee (ASG) applications are not necessary for minors (17 years of age and under) or seniors (60 years of age and above).
  • The document(s) must be signed in person by the applicant(s) in front of officials or personnel of the Philippine Consulate.
  • For the document to be notarized, the name on the passport and the applicant’s actual legal name must match. The notarial document’s signature needs to match the applicant’s passport and any other valid ID that the government may have given.
  • It will take three (3) to five (5) business days for the PCG to process the ASG application.
  • Personnel or officials of the Philippine Consulate can confiscate any documents that are faked or altered and presented for notarization or authentication. Legal action will be taken against the fixers as well as the owners of the necessary documentation. The payment will be returned if it turns out that a document is fake.
