Individual Contract Verification for Domestic Workers

Documents Required for HSW:

  • MOHRE Contract, one (1) original copy and one (1) photocopy (with DW code 25 to 30 pages)
  • Original and photocopy of duly completed “Addendum to the UAE Domestic Worker Contract” (signed by Sponsor/Employer and Domestic Worker)
  • Original Passport
  • Signature on the Contract of the First Party (Sponsor/Employer) must match the signature on the Passport and/or Emirates ID
  • Three (3) copies of a valid Residence Visa or three (3) electronic copies of a valid New Emirates ID and visa, as well as the original Emirates ID (for those with no Residence Visa Stamp)
  • Valid passport with three (3) copies

Documents Required for the Sponsor/Employer:

  • Two (2) copies of valid Passport
  • Two (2) copies of Emirates ID
  • Two (2) copies of valid Visa (for Expat Sponsor/Employer only)

If the Sponsor’s/Passport Employer’s and Emirates ID both have no signature the Sponsor/Employer must come into the office to have his signature and/or thumb mark taken. A video clip of the sponsor signing if he or she is very old or very sick is acceptable.

If the worker’s visa is not for Abu Dhabi but he or she is working there:

  • The worker must show proof that the sponsor/employer lives/works in Abu Dhabi, such as a tenancy contract, a billing statement, and a telephone bill.

Documents Required for Skilled / Company Workers:

  • MOL (Ministry of Labor) or other legitimate contracts (where applicable): one (1) original copy and one (1) photocopy
  • Three (3) copies of a valid Residence Visa, or three (3) electronic copies of a valid New Emirates ID and visa, as well as the original Emirates ID (for those with no Residence Visa Stamp).
  • Original Passport
  • Valid passport with three (3) copies

  • Worker must present Work Location/Jobsite Certification from the company in Abu Dhabi where he or she is employed.

Salary Requirements:

  • Salary Certificate and payslip are required if the basic salary is less than 1500 AED. Contracts can only be confirmed if they meet the POEA’s minimal standards for employment contracts.
  • Salary Certificate (SC) and payslip are required if the gross salary is less than 1500 AED. No SC, no document processing.
  • If a nurse’s basic salary is less than 3500 AED, a salary certificate is required; if unavailable, the worker must submit “Sinumpaang Salaysay.”
